What's New/Happening?

All three nurseries have achieved the NSPCC award Staying Safe Committment Scheme

All three nurseries recently held a fundraising day to support the RNLI at New Brighton. You can read all about it here.

OXTON -

We are encouraging Makaton, using signing to help children feel confident to communicate.

We held our sports day on the 2nd September all the children did really well and thoroughly enjoyed themselves even the parents and staff joined in the fun and games and had a sack race. It was a great turn out !!!!!

We held our annual Parents evening on 25th October. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet all the staff and discuss children's development. It was also an opportunity to meet our choice advisor on what to do when your child is ready for big school.

Halloween party was held on Friday 28th October everyone came dressed to impress……

BRIMSTAGE-

We are currently collecting food items for the Harvest Festival and will be donating to St George’s United Reformed Church in Thornton Hough.

We held our Parents Evening on 19th October.  Parents/carers could look around the nursery and speak to their child’s key person.  Our SENCO, Foundation Consultant and Choice Advisor were also available to chat.

We have a new notice board in our entrance area to help us celebrate the children’s achievements at nursery and at home, we would like parents/carers to contribute to this to help strengthen that all important link between nursery and home life.

SEACOMBE

We are currently making a vegetable patch to grow our own fruits and vegetables to allow the children to learn about where fruit and vegetables come from. We are also incorporating this into daily activities so the children can make own fruit salad or even vegetable soups for snack.

We are encouraging change for life by doing daily fitness activates such as assault courses, walks to the local prom for exercise and sending home healthy recipes for parents to encourage this change at home as well as nursery.
